We generally post the next month’s schedule on the 20th of the current month. If there is a particular painting you want to do, we suggest you register ASAP, as sometimes classes sell out in a day or two.
In a relaxed, social, group setting, an artist will guide you through replicating the night’s featured painting step-by-step. By the end of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! Classes are between 2 to 3 hours.
Absolutely! We will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class.
Yes. Because we have a limited number of seats, and the fact that we have to prepare a canvas and set a place for you, signing up in advance is always required. You can register on the website – just click the link next to the painting you’d like to do on the Class Calendar and you will be taken to the registration page.
Adult classes are $35 and are 2 – 3 hours depending on the class and painting. There is a discount on all our classes if you register for 2 seats or more at the same time. Clicking on a registration link will give you the details.
No! We offer the choice of paying with PayPal (you do not need to have an account to pay with PayPal) or you also have the option to pay directly with a credit or debit card through the Authorize.net payment portal. Select the option you want and it will guide you through the process to pay with a credit or debit card, as you would purchase anything online. For those who are not familiar, PayPal and Authorize.net are both top secure payment companies.
We provide Canvases, Paint, Brushes, Easels, Aprons, Music and Instruction.
We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on – just in case
As we said, we provide all the supplies you will need for painting. We are a BYOB, ‘paint and sip’ studio, so bring your favorite beverage and snacks or appetizers you might want during the class. We also provide plastic Cups, Corkscrews, Napkins and a large Ice tub to keep bottles cold.
You can bring wine, beer, a pitcher of margaritas, fruit punch, soft drinks or any other beverage to The Art Party Studio. There will be a large ice tub to put beverages in to keep them cold during the class. We do expect all painters to be responsible with alcohol on and off the premises. For our regularly scheduled classes, you must be 18 years of age in order to attend, and 21 years in order to drink.
Evening classes start at 7 pm. The Art Party Studio doors will open at 6:30 pm. Please come early to find your seat, have a drink and socialize a bit, as the class will start promptly on time.
Once instruction has begun, it is not really possible to catch up, and it is not fair to the other patrons to have to wait for you to arrive.
If you purchase several seats within a single transaction, we will see that on the registration and reserve seats together for you. It is usually best if, with a large group signing up separately, one last name is selected to identify the group in the box that says “if you are with a group” on the registration page, and everyone puts that surname down. We will seat you together, if at all possible.
Sorry, no. This is an interactive event, with reserved seating, therefore we ask that you do not bring an observer unless you have a paid reservation for them.
May I bring my son, daughter or other person under age 18?
Because a great deal of upfront effort and preparation is required in order to make this an enjoyable experience for you, and because we have a limited number of seats to offer, we ask you to give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. This provides us an opportunity to fill the space. Cancellations should be made by email or by phone. For one or two people registered together, if it is 48 hours or more prior to class, you can request a refund. If it is between 48 and 24 hours prior to class, you can request a class credit or transfer the reservation to another class. Loss of payment will occur if you cancel less than 24 hours prior to class or if you simply do not show up. (YOU DO HAVE THE OPTION OF FINDING SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE – just let us know if you do). For groups of 3 to 5 people, we require a minimum of 72 hours notice for a refund or to reschedule. For reservations of groups of 6 or more, we require 7 days notice for a refund or to reschedule. Please do not call or email and ask to be an exception.
Classes may be subject to cancellation based on the number of enrollments.
You will be able to take your finished canvas home with you. Our paint is fast drying acrylic that should be dry by the time you leave. We have dryers to use for any damp areas as well.
Send us an email with the following information: 1.) date of the class you would like to attend 2.) How many seats you would like to purchase 3.) the code you were given 4.) Your phone number 5.) The name of the group you would like to sit with, if any. We will then register you from our end. Class Credits are good for 6 months from the date they are issued.
We generally post the next month’s schedule on the 20th of the current month.
You can let us know, and we will keep this in mind when scheduling future classes! But, because there are many different variables that go into selecting the paintings for the schedule, and there are 8 to 10 new paintings added each month, we can’t make any guarantees.
Sorry, no. There are many different variables that go into selecting the paintings for the schedule, and there are 8 to 10 new paintings added each month. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate the numerous requests we receive each month from groups wanting to choose the painting.
We do the best we can in offering a wide variety of options. Most of our patrons have come to understand that the painting itself is not that important (how “pretty” it is, or whether everyone likes it, or if it matches everyone’s “decor”) it is more about sharing a creative experience, and entering the “zone” where you are focused in the present moment and all your troubles and worries fall away. When you are finished, each person has completed their own version that they can be proud of, and there is a feeling of something similar to having your “reset” button pushed. You just feel better.
